Sometimes I like to look back and see things I've blogged about in the past, and it looks like this silly little post is one I've updated every five years or so. The last time I did this was in January of 2020 and man, has life ever changed since then! I mean - the world hadn't even experienced COVID in January of 2020 and that alone was life-changing in and of itself.
So - just for fun - a little update version of the ABC's of Me!
A - Available or Married? I have been very happily married to my best friend for almost three years! Ryan and I will celebrate our third anniversary on November 12, 2025!
B - Book? Well, I just finished reading The Hunting Wives by May Cobb yesterday (September 14) and just started Heartless Hunter by Kristen Ciccarelli today (September 15).
C - Cake or Pie? I am a cake girl! I love a good cake, especially with a little scoop of ice cream on the side!
D - Drink of Choice? Coffee or Water! If I'm not drinking one, I'm probably drinking the other!
E - Essential Item? I am still ashamed that this is my answer; but it's gonna have to be my iPhone. Simply because it has a Bible, my music, all my contacts, all my photos and can also contain books, if I choose to download them there. I know - such a millennial answer!
F - Favorite Color? Blue!
G - Game to Watch or Play? I still very much enjoy watching baseball, especially my Nationals, even though they aren't exactly on a winning streak this season... *sigh*
H - Hometown? I was born in Lompoc, California but didn't really live there long enough to call it my hometown... and I now live in the West Virginia panhandle... but my hometown would have to be Collinsville, Mississippi.
I - Indulgence? Lately I have been really into having a small bowl of ice cream with some Hershey's chocolate shell on top. Yum!
J - Job? I work for the Department of Social Services for a local city. Gotta keep a little bit of mystery, right?
K - Kids & Their Names? Ryan and I have one angel baby in heaven; we lovingly named our angel baby Corban and look forward to meeting him or her one day. 👼
L - Life is Incomplete Without? Friends! We have been blessed to make some wonderful friends over the last few years and having precious people to share life's ups and downs with makes all the difference in the world.
M - Music Group or Singer? Brandon Lake! Honestly, almost anything that you'll hear playing on K-Love but I especially love all of Mr. Lake's songs!
N - Number of Siblings? Still just the one lovely little sister, Lindsey!
O - Oranges or Apples? Oranges!
P - Phobias/Fears? I am not the biggest fan of flying; it's probably at the top of my list of things that I don't really enjoy doing. However, I like seeing new places that I've never been, so it's just a necessary evil!
Q - Favorite Quote? "Success in not final, failure is not fatal - it is the courage to continue that counts." - Winston Churchill (should note this is A favorite quote, of many).
R - Reason to Smile? Our three wonderful little cats: Spook, Maverick and Bagheera! They keep us entertained and make life interesting! They definitely bring a smile to my face!
S - Season? Autumn! The season we are entering into right now... I love the leaves and the cooler temperatures and all things apple (not pumpkin) and maple and cozy!
T - Tattoos? I actually have two (and have plans to get a few more). I have a halo and angel wings on my left forearm in memory of our baby, Corban and I have my husband's initial tattooed on my ring finger (although it's usually hidden under my wedding rings).
U - Unknown Fact about Me? Once upon a time I was allergic to cats! Not sure what happened but that's definitely not a problem any longer!
V - Vegetable You Love? Corn! Which is hilarious because up until a few years ago, I wouldn't eat it. I know... what a mess!
W - Worst Habit? Probably peeling off nail polish! I know! I know! It's very bad for your nails. That's why its my worst habit!
X - X-Rays? Yep! I've had plenty! Used to get x-rays of my back all the time since I had/have scoliosis!
Y - Your Favorite Food? I don't know that I can choose just one... but I do really love Mexican food and Italian food. So I'll just leave it at that.
Z - Zodiac? Libra... for what that's worth. I don't really buy all that star sign business.
