A Random September Assortment

I call this a random September assortment because this weekend was a random assortment of wonderful little moments, but I never feel like I take enough pictures! Friday night, Ryan and I had pizza and watched the movie Thunderbolts - which was actually really great! Saturday morning was low-key... with the exception of Bagheera climbing the screen door until he lost open door privileges for everyone!

I spent the earlier part of Saturday with my wonderful friend Jayne, in nearby Page County - which is truly one of the most gorgeous spots in Virginia - and it also has some of the most wonderful shops too: With My Soul Boutique, The Virginia Gift Shop and Nest and Hive - all filled with the cutest gifts, clothes and even delicious treats! A day trip to Page County with Jayne is always such a wonderful time, but I feel like I never take enough pictures.

I found the perfect black overalls and the cutest little mushroom dress; as you can see above, I was feeling pretty good about myself, ha-ha! It was a gorgeous day and we had such a great time together! And then, when I got home - my parents and my hubby were waiting, and we got wings, made Rotel and watched as Mississippi State (who is not ranked) actually beat Arizona State University (who is ranked #12). It was an amazing game - and I still can't believe we won, ha-ha! Here's hoping we will keep playing so well; it's a little wild to have a 2-0 start so far!

Sunday was a gorgeous day - and so lovely and chill! After attending early service for church, Ryan and ran two quick errands, and then came home and had a relaxing afternoon! Everyone - and I mean, everyone - took an afternoon nap, I was able to read almost an entire book, get laundry done, make banana bread muffins and Cowboy stew for dinner, and we watched some NFL football and started our annual Lapp Family Football Challenge. The leaves in the backyard are starting to change color and Autumn is creeping even closer...

And this morning - the Corn Moon was still high in the sky, shining! I cannot wait to give it a peek in the night sky tonight! I cannot believe we are in the second week of September and the 'Ber months are here once again, bringing all their fun and delight.
