Our West Virginia Home - We Are Building!

WE ARE BUILDING A HOUSE! 

 

Huge news - I know! It's news I've been sitting on for a few weeks now but I am so glad to finally share that we are building! We wanted to make sure everything was finalized and everything was moving forward smoothly before we shared the big news; but everything has just gone along perfectly and we are so excited to watch our house come to life and plan for our life in this home! 

We have been looking for our next home for the last 2-3 months and we have had some ups and downs; especially with crazy interest rates what they are right now. We had an almost, we toured several options that were being built and even toured some open houses - including one that had black mold, a cracked foundation and water damage (just to name a few of the things wrong) and it could have all been ours for the low price of $230,000! Are you kidding me?!?

About a month ago - we finally found the home we were looking for! We toured the model and asked about a million and one questions of our realtor, the builder and our loan professional - and after discussion and prayer, we decided that this was the home for us! 

The home is currently being built and is in the very first stages of becoming a home! Three weeks ago it was just a foundation... two weeks ago it was just a first story... and a week ago it was two stories! Our new home will be a three bedroom/two and a half bathroom over two floors! We cannot wait to see it continue to come along and then be able to make it our own. 

It is so amazing to be able to see our home from the ground up - and also, there is so much excitement in knowing we will be the first people to ever live in this home! We know we are so completely blessed to have this opportunity to build a home and we are so thankful to watch as each piece goes into place; especially as we begin to see the place where certain rooms will be and we can imagine life in each one!

I can't wait to keep everyone posted on this next journey we are on - I know it will be an exciting adventure and we will be so happy here for the years to come!
