June is just zooming right on by - we are already at mid-month, it's the middle of the week in that month, and before long we will be on the back half of 2025! The most recent weekend was a good one, filled with plenty of fun with our cats, wonderful moments spent catching up with precious family, and of course - time spent with my two favorite Dads - my Dad, and Ryan!
The kittens keep us cracking up and they were some kind of specially wound up on Friday night! Ryan and I were watching The Accountant 2 and these two were all over the place! Battling all over the house, chasing down their gummy lizard and almost literally bouncing off the walls! They kept us cracking up as they gallivanted all over the house... and they stayed feisty even after we went to sleep!
Saturday - because the men in my life enjoy all things in motion (especially airplanes & cars) - Ryan and I joined my parents for the Innovations of Flight event at the Udvar-Hazy Air & Space Museum. This is a place I've been to numerous times and I've even been to the Innovations of Flight event previously - all the planes, both inside and outside.
The event is really well organized - and while we ended up standing in a line that stretched out the door, down the sidewalk... and even further down the sidewalk... it moved very quickly and once inside, it didn't feel too crowded. There were stations set up everywhere so that kids could get involved and special displays that talked about the different wars that the US has taken part in, the role of the WASPs, Rosie the Riveter and more! See my classy Rosie bandana?
