I'm trying to be more mindful to take picture of our weekends - but I guess most of the time, I'm too busy just doing stuff and the things I take pictures of are largely my husband and my cats. I love all three of them very much... but other people might not be as fond, ha-ha!
Our Friday night was really low-key; I made a new (to us) recipe for Marry Me Chicken Tortellini and we both agreed it was a really delicious and easy meal! It had a lot of flavor and substance, with very few ingredients! We watched the first episode of House of David on Amazon... and then the cats got really interested in watching this soft music with other cats/kittens doing goofy little cat things, ha-ha!
Saturday was a gorgeous day - and thankfully not too cold! We had a really lazy morning, which I am always a fan of! After getting ready, we went to grab groceries at Aldi and then did chores around the house for a portion of the afternoon. I got in some reading and Ryan "read" some of the book he's reading (he uses Audible). We headed to Virginia for the evening to have dinner with my parents - so delicious! We had steak, grilled chicken, baked potatoes and fruit salad - and we even had miniature cherry cheesecakes for dessert! My mouth is watering thinking about it!
Sunday was another slow morning - we had a softball meeting at church after third service, so we attended third service and it's not until 11:30! A little later than we'd usually go to church, but we took advantage of the extra time and had breakfast and just relaxed! We also watched Maverick and Spook play around and be goofy; Maverick was super intent on attacking their Big Dill pickle toy! The sunshine was gorgeous but the temperatures reverted to winter-like and it was brisk outside!
After an awesome church service and the softball meeting, we had a late lunch and then did some house cleaning. I spent some time reading and Ryan ran an errand or two related to getting ready for the work week and we had a late(r) dinner of Turkey Chili before chilling for the evening. As you can see - the cats really take chilling very seriously, ha-ha! It was such a good weekend - sweet and slow - which is always nice.
